Our Team
Services and history
Ozpsych started as a telehealth counselling service during COVID19. Since then the services offered have primarily been related to assessment of ADHD and Autism. The team is now expanding to include coaching as well as counselling for those who want this added support.

What we do
Our Philosophy and approach
Our strength lies in our people. We don’t outsource coaching or counselling — instead, we provide these services within a supportive environment and philosophy that nurtures professional growth and celebrates the unique gifts of neurodivergence as part of each person’s lived experience.
We believe every client deserves a voice in their own journey. Guided by the expertise of our resident psychologist, our team has been carefully assembled to deliver truly client‑centred care. We honour neurodivergence with respect and understanding, ensuring that every individual who comes to us for assessment, diagnosis, or support is met with compassion, inclusivity, and recognition of their unique needs and strengths.

Luke Heywood BA
Practice Manager
My name is Daniel, and I am a Neurodivergent practitioner specialising in ADHD, autism, addiction, domestic‑violence‑related trauma, and PTSD.
Grounded in trauma‑informed practice and a deep personal understanding of neurodiversity and complex stress responses, my approach centres on self‑empowerment, self‑acceptance, and collaborative care.
I believe each client is the expert of their own life, and my role is to support, guide, and amplify their strengths while ensuring they retain agency over their healing journey. My mission is to provide compassionate, client‑led therapeutic support that honours lived experience, autonomy, and resilience, creating a safe and inclusive space where individuals can reclaim their voice, build confidence and clarity, and move forward with strength.
I am committed to fostering genuine growth and lasting change through respect, collaboration, and the belief that every person has the capacity to heal when supported with care and understanding.
My name is Tim and I have been exploring Neurodivergency since I was a student at Aston University in Birmingham. I graduated with a Bsc(Hons) degree in Human Psychology from Aston in 1982..
OZPSYCH as a telehealth service really came into its own in 2020 with the outbreak of COVID19. I spent the next three years providing Bulk Billed telehealth services to anyone who needed support as a result of COVID19.
Out of this experience, my own focus shifted to the issues around ADHD and Autism, which had been a lifelong quest. My own diagnosis occurred in 2018. I was 60 years of age.
My own diagnosis has since given rise to the practice as it is today, now slowly expanding and responding to the rising psychosocial needs of the many adults, families and children who are in need of identification, education and support.
Opportunities to Collaborate with OZPSYCH
OZPSYCH is expanding our network of service providers who share our philosophy of neurodivergence and our commitment to holistic, client‑centred care. We are seeking passionate professionals to join us in delivering much‑needed services across Australia. Indiginous practitioners are especially welcome to join us.
Psychologists
We are looking for an additional psychologist to provide telehealth assessments for children and adolescents. This is a highly sought‑after service that we have been unable to meet due to limited time and resources.
Educators & Consultants
We are seeking experienced and knowledgeable educators to work with school communities on a consultancy basis. This role involves delivering school‑based professional development (PD) for primary and secondary teachers across Australia, supporting schools in building inclusive and neurodivergent‑affirming practices. A one semester PD/ training course will be offered to those wishing to join OZPSYCH.
Medical Professionals
We are also keen to connect with diagnosing medical professionals who have both the training and interest in the medical diagnosis of neurodivergence (particularly ADHD). At OZPSYCH, we promote a holistic approach to identification, recognising that a full psychosocial assessment—addressing psychological and coaching needs—is just as important as the provision of medication. We believe this integrated approach empowers individuals to truly “own” their neurodivergent identity.
Next Steps If you share our vision and would like to explore these opportunities, please contact us in the first instance by phoning 08 6202 9315 to register your interest. We will then provide you with a position description and further details.
