Neurodiversity

ADHD &

Autism in

adulthood.

Neurodiversity refers to the concept that neurological differences, such as ADHD and autism, should be recognized and respected as a natural variation of human diversity. As neurodivergent people ourselves, we advocate for the acceptance and inclusion and acceptance of everyone with these presentations, particularly in adulthood.

ADHD, or Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, is characterized by difficulties in maintaining focus, impulsivity, and hyperactivity.

Autism, on the other hand, is a developmental disorder that affects social interaction, communication, and behaviour.

Whilst these conditions may present challenges, they also bring unique strengths and perspectives to the table. By embracing neurodiversity, society can create an environment that fosters the empowerment and success of individuals with ADHD and autism, enabling all of us to thrive and contribute our talents to various aspects of life.

"In my experience, Neurodiversity is not a mistake or a biological error nor a psychiatric disorder that needs curing or fixing. It appears to be a human variation that is essential for the survival of the human species."
